dearest mandi,
this is my very first post on my very first blog and I am so not savvy in this new world I'm treading into. BUT, I needed a blog to enter your extraordinary give away and I will embarrass myself in hope of a {mandilicious} epic room makeover! your blog was one of the first blogs I started to follow
in blog land. i love that you have such unique,
out-of-the-box creative endeavors and honestly, you are one of my few blog crushes. i learned
from my 10 year old son the proper way to ask a favor, so with him in
mind, "Will you pretty please with a cherry on top come to my home in
good ole' Lancaster, Pennsylvania and make-over my kitchen?!"
it's a pretty blank slate! |
my boy's artwork is about the only thing this kitchen has going for itself. |
that tin sign from our garage is covering a sticky substance i didn't have the patience to remove. i know, pathetic. |
that red table was one of my first krylon experiences, inspired by you mandi! |
eek! please help me makeover my kitchen! |
i feel
like kitchens are the heart of every home, it's where you find comfort
food on crappy days & celebration food on happy days (at least
that's how it works in my mind) and our kitchen does not display that happy, come as you are, eat & be merry facade. our house was built with huge
exposed oak beams (which i do love!) but we also have oak flooring, oak
trim, oak cabinetry, oak doors, oak furniture, lots of oak. i feel as though a lot of colors clash with the
oak and i can't seem to make any decisions regarding color...that is why i need YOU (please?!)
with sincerest gratitude,
lindsay XO
Looks pretty good. I mean bad. haha. Great candidate for the makeover! Good luck!
